Rapper Aminé will perform Saturday in the Tavern as part of AmFest, the annual music festival hosted by Student Union Board (SUB). The headliner -- announced on SUB's Facebook event page -- is known for his recent album, "Good For You," which includes the hit-song "Caroline," that peaked on the Billboard Hot 100.
AmFest will start 3 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 7, and run until 11 p.m. The day-long concert is free and will be stocked with plenty of food. Local vendors will sell jewelry and henna tattoos (so bring your wallet!).
Sharing the stage with the multi-talented artist, Aminé, will be Mac Ayres, G.U.M.P., Nkula, Bobby Mahoney and the Seventh Son, Koleco, Footxcoles, Lavender, and Smith Gardens.
Here is a playlist of a few of my favorite songs from each artist (not including Koleco and Nkula, who do not have Spotify accounts):
AmFest is co-sponsored by American University Student Government, Student Media, the Alumni Board and the Office of Campus Life.
