Dubbed "Windmageddon," the Washington region is experiencing winds as fast as 70 mph. While D.C. public schools, and even the federal government, closed down for the day, American University stayed open.
Weather Alert: High Wind Warning. Gusts up to 70 mph. Avoid driving and being outside. Call 202-885-2349 to report blowing debris. Call 202-885-3636 for emergencies. Operating status normal.
