Although it did not have carnival rides or a petting zoo, the D.C. State Fair brought the best of a small town to a big city. Situated at the Waterfront Station in Southwest D.C., the fair featured booths from local organizations and businesses. Between the tea shops and live performances, the fair was a great way to discover and experience the different cultures and groups that make up The District. Not mention, the food trucks served up amazing dishes, from Reba's Funnel Cakes to Ben's Chili Bowl.
